First edition- Global product development Ideathon-23.
The Global Product Development Ideathon 23 organised by the IoT Alliance Club (Electrical Division) at SRMIST College was a resounding success. It provided a platform for students and innovators to showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively.The event also encouraged networking and collaboration among participants.

About the club
GeeksforGeeks SRM IST Is one of the oldest club on SRM campus, backed by the organization GeeksforGeeks, also dabbled with numerous non-technical events. We at GeeksforGeeks SRMIST believe it is extremely essential to prepare young minds with programming skills in today's highly technological world. Hence our objective is to establish a coding culture on campus, reaching every student passionate about programming. Apart from expanding technical knowledge and implementing their own in-house projects, students who are members of our club also get exposure and numerous opportunities to enhance their marketing and creative skills boosting their confidence in both technical and non-technical aspects of their lives, which definitely leads to better placements. Being the official campus club for GeeksforGeeks, we keep in mind that everyone gets the full benefit of being part of our club.

- Breaking Backend (18th April 2023)
A workshop designed for beginners who want to get started with backend development. With around 100 attendees, speaker and Tech Lead of our club Naveen Karanamu made the students familiar with backend development using technologies like Express, MongoDB and Postman. They were also given hands-on learning through the task.
- Geek-o-philia (27th September 2022)
A newbie’s roadmap to the tech world. The event focused towards 1st years in SRM, starting their journey in the field of technology. The first-year students were taught about the concept of Web DEV, App Dev, Cloud, Data Science and Blockchain. Speakers include Naveen Karanamu, Zaid Ali Syed, Sitanshu Pokalwar and Rijul Sarji.

ISACA
ISACA constituents work in nearly all industry categories, including financial and banking, public accounting, government and the public sector, utilities and manufacturing. ISACA Chennai Chapter:
ISACA Chennai Chapter started in July 1986, is the first in India and one of the oldest in Asia. It is one of the few chapters in the world to have an office premise of its own. The Chapter has over 1000 members and it is growing each year. ISACA Chennai Chapter conducts monthly professional development meeting, CISA & CISM review classes and various other events. Every year towards the end of with this ISACA Chennai Chapter organises annual conference during the last week of November. Chapter's members have instituted various awards including the best speaker prize for monthly meetings and CISA, CISM and CGEIT. It will extend and expand such awards to make the profession more vibrant and dynamic. To honour the vision of the founders, Chapter celebrates the anniversary of its founding as Founders' day.
Certifications:
ISACA offers four certifications namely Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) Certification.
ISACA Certifications are globally accepted and recognized. They combine the achievement of passing an exam with credit for the work and educational experience, giving the credibility needed to move ahead in career growth. Certification proves to employers have what it takes to add value to their enterprise. In fact, many organizations and governmental agencies around the world require or recognize ISACA's Certifications.
Earning and maintaining an ISACA Certification: Boosts ones earning potential, Counts in the hiring process, Enhances the professional credibility and recognition.
SRM-ISACA Student Group (SRM-ISG)
SRM ISACA Student Group encourages education beyond the classroom by allowing students to network and learn from each other, and connect with a supportive group of professionals. The Student Group gives students the opportunity to get to know about ISACA. Various events could be conducted by the College ISACA group and the local chapter, through these events, students’ benefits are enormous.
Under Graduate Cyber Security students from Department of Networking and Communications, SRMIST, KTR Campus have come forward to reapply for the SRM ISACA Student Group (SRM-ISG) inside the premises. Through this Group, Students will develop a forum for learning beyond the classroom and gain leadership opportunities which would add value in placement recruitments, and imperatively they get to connect with local chapter professionals.
